A Limited Edition, by definition, means there will only ever be a certain number of prints ever produced of the image.
I prefer to keep my edition series numbers lower than some. This helps to make the image series more desirable.
My Limited Editions will always include the following:
- Certificate of Authenticity (COA)
- Unique matching holographic serial number on both the image and Certificate of Authenticity
- Digital Signature on image
- Hand initialed and series numbered
My Limited Editions will never be reprinted once the number of prints in the series has been reached. To me, reprinting a limited edition print set is unfair to the original purchasers who purchased them. I prefer to preserve the integrity of the limited set by honoring exactly what it means, “limited”.
Swirling Nature
This image is showing some of the unique patterns found in nature.
Nature is always a wonderful place to see the unusual, if you take the time to pause life and take it in. In this image, I always find something new each time I look at it.

As I was hiking in the Mt Rainier National Forest, I saw an old tree that was down and has been there for many years. I decided to take a walk over to it to investigate. I found this unique patch of swirling knots in the wood.
Yes, this is actually swirling knots in the wood of a very old Douglas Fir tree. Nature in its beautiful wonder.

The Sandstorm
This image is of a sandstorm while on the Mesquite Sand Dunes in Death Valley California. You can see the sandstorm approaching from the upper left.
While about 1/2 mile into the dunes, the sandstorm made its way in. I decided to stay as long as I could to try and grab a few shots of the effects that the sand and the wind created. This is the results.
A neat thing of note, this location is also where they filmed some of the scenes from the first Star Wars movies.

Aurora Lightning
This image was one of the amazing situations where as a photographer you have to be ready for the unexpected.
While planning to setup and take images of an aurora storm, the peak of the storm never showed. There is a lot of ‘sky glow’ which is caused by the aurora activity. Although the aurora activity did not show a dancing storm in the night sky, it paints it with amazing colors.
So while waiting for the aurora storm to show, a storm of a different type showed up. About 15 miles away, across the prairie, this amazing thunderhead of clouds paused and continually dropped lightning strike after lightning strike.
Adapting to the changing situation, I changed to the longer lens to get a closer view of the action and the image you see is the results.
The colors and power of nature is humbling.

Fantasy Visions
This image of Palouse Falls in eastern Washington is a long exposure under the galactic core of the Milky Way, showing the currents caused by the waterfall into the pool before the river continues downstream.
The amazing part is that without a long exposure, the currents are often missed.
This image was taken in late summer, as you can notice the waterfall flow has decreased. The lower water level also helps to show the currents.
