Description

This is an image of the Orion Nebula (M42) which is about 1500 light-years away from earth. The Orion nebula is a gigantic cloud of gas and dust that is the closest large star-forming region to our solar system. It is located in the Milky Way, south of the Orion’s Belt, and is known as the middle ‘star’ in Orion’s sword.
